As the days grow longer and the year draws to a close, Stromkern provide the perfect soundtrack with "Hindsight", the third and final single from their critically acclaimed album "Light It Up". Available only as a digital download, "Hindsight", featuring guest vocalist Victoria Lloyd (Claire Voyant / HMB), showcases a softer, gentler side of Stromkern. Look for "Hindsight" at all major Internet download portals by Christmas. Although there will not be a physical version, the download comes complete with cover, inlay, and disc artwork.

In an unfortunate accident, Stromkern keyboarder Rob Wentz broke his right hand following a concert at the Hirsch club in Nürnburg (click here to see the x-ray). For the last three shows of the tour, Gun from Rotersand filled in on keys.

Last Monday's Stromkern concert at the Batschkapp in Frankfurt featured a special guest as well: Frank Spinath, singer from Seabound and Edge of Dawn, joined the band on stage to perform the track "Sentinel".

Stromkern have been confirmed as the worldwide support for Front Line Assembly's "Artificial Soldier" 2006 summer tour. The bands will be on the road from 4 June through 28 June in the US and Canada, with a European leg following from 14 August until 3 September. Exact dates may be found here.

Stromkern have just announced a remix contest of their song "Reminders". The contest, operated in conjuction with Sony Media Software, runs until June 8. The winner will receive gear from Sony and Stromkern as well as the chance to have their remix appear on an official release!

And once again a Dependent release hits #1 in the DAC (German Alternative Charts). This time around, Stromkern have hit the top spot with their new album "Light It Up". Maybe it's a sign that unusual, not easily characterizable music is starting to resonate with listeners?

[19.08.05]

In conjunction with the release of the new Stromkern album "Light It Up", out on 22.08.05, the song "Reminders" has been made available as a free download. The band are about to embark on an extensive US tour, with a European leg planned for 2006.
