The news that Dependent would be reopening its doors caused quite a stir in the press and internet fan forums, and after two years the label now returns with "Septic VIII", beginning again just as it started in January 1999 when "Septic I" became the first release by the German electro-industrial label and marked the beginning of the worldwide success story. Personally compiled by Dependent president Stefan Herwig, the series has now been offering the perfect mixture of promising electro/EBM newcomers and unreleased tracks from popular artists in the scene for ten years. "Septic VIII" once again combines a wealth of fresh sounds from all corners of the scene together with several big names. For everyone who has been drowning in the sea of MySpace mediocrity. "Septic VIII"will shine like a beacon of excenptional quality.
"This Septic compilation from Dependent deals with the best in pure Industrial and modern dark electronica. This collection of seventeen pulsating, euphoric and powerful tracks is proof that this genre has so much to offer the alternative music scene on a worldwide scale."
- Sphere Magazine UK
"Striking to notice that on this part of septic the song is more central than before. Songwriting is an important part and quality songs is exactly what’s lacking in much of today’s electro music. Septic shows that there is still enough talent around."
